Why does Stride Shoes charge a $10 online transaction fee?

Postage and courier fees have risen considerably in the last couple of years. This fee only recoups about 50% of the costs.

 

Additionally the number of orders done that are going to be returned has become excessive. By implementing a $10 transaction fee, we expect customers to be more diligent in their orders and minimise transactions. A classic example is a customer recently ordered and used the address of a post office as their address (post offices require delivery at set hours). The customer was aware the couriers do not deliver to PO Box numbers and the result was we paid approximately $20 delivery, $20 return, and $20 to redeliver. If the customer returns the shoes, we will be out of pocket $80, on a discounted $150 transaction.

 

If there is no postage involved with the transaction, no transaction fee will be charged. Non supply due to cancelled orders or unable to supply will result in transaction fee refunded.

 

Customers who receive their orders and do not return any part, can request a $10 credit on their next purchase 30 days from the date of receiving their shoes. Where a customer buys more than two pairs of shoes and keeps two or more pairs, can request a $10 credit on their next purchase. Whether the $10 credit is given will be at the discretion of Stride Shoes.

Do you cater for unusual foot sizes and orthotics?

Stride’s customer service is paramount and all our employees are highly trained individuals. Our staff have a substantial depth of knowledge about feet, shoes and orthotics of all descriptions. Come into a Stride Store to be professionally fitted for your next pair of shoes.

What is your returns policy on in-store purchases?

If for some reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please return your shoes, in their packaging, to the store of purchase with your receipt. If shoes are returned to us in the condition in which they were purchased, we will provide you with a credit note for the amount you paid for the shoes.

What is your returns policy for online purchases?

To make your online purchase easier, we offer two options. If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase and the shoes are unworn, with packaging/shoes undamaged and original order, you can return them to us using one of the two following options:

Option 1: 30 Day Money Back Guarantee net of $10 per online transaction fee

Email applecross@strideshoes.com.au for a return authority within 20 days of the original invoice date.

Provided the shoes are received within 30 days of the original invoice date and both the shoes and box are undamaged, we will refund you the full purchase price less $10 per each online transaction fee. No transaction fee for return applies if shoes are brought back in store but no credit will be given on purchase transaction fee if refund is still requested. Additional fees apply if priority postage is requested. If the box is damaged, we retain the right to charge a repacking fee.

Option 2: 60 Day Exchange or Credit Note Guarantee

If you return the shoes within 60 days to any one of Stride’s four conveniently located stores, you are entitled to exchange the shoes or receive a credit note to the full value of the purchase price, inclusive of postage and handling.

No matter which option you chose, you will always be the winner.

How soon will I receive my shoes purchased on the Stride website?

We strive to dispatch all online purchases within three working days. In the event that there are any delays, we will make all efforts to contact you within 48 hours of the order being placed. You have two choices with delivery:

  1. Free pickup from your choice of store
  2. 12 day free delivery services.
